Halotherapy FAQ

What is Halotherapy?

Halotherapy, also known as Dry Salt Therapy, is a holistic approach that mimics the microclimate of a salt cave. Clients breathe in the micro-sized salt particles, which are immediately transported to every part of the respiratory tract, even the smallest alveoli and bronchioles.

Pharmaceutical-grade dry salt is crushed to approximately 0.1-2 micron-sized particles and dispersed into an enclosed environment (Salt Room) through a state-of-the-art Halogenerator. The salt draws out the moisture, mucus and impurities, kills microbes, and helps with inflammation both in the airway and on the skin. Dry salt therapy is called the "toothbrush of the lungs."

Salt therapy may eliminate the root of inflammatory respiratory illnesses in the lower and upper tract like asthma, bronchitis, and allergies by destroying bacteria and restoring health and immunity.

What is CBD Halotherapy?

HaloCBD™ is a revolutionary, patented blend that combines highly effective, USDA-certified 100% organic CBD (Made in the USA) with pure pharmaceutical salt. It’s the next generation of Halotherapy— ACT™ Halotherapy. The product contains 0% THC.

According to published studies at the National Institute of Health (NIH) the lungs are a particularly attractive target for delivery of beneficial therapies. They provide a direct access to disease in the treatment of respiratory diseases, while providing an enormous surface area and a relatively low enzymatic, controlled environment for systemic absorption of medications. However, traditional forms of inhaling CBD such as smoking or vaping involve the introduction of oils or gasses that negatively effect any benefits.

It is 100% water-soluble, just like NaCl.

These micro-injuries trigger the body's natural wound healing process, leading to the production of collagen and elastin—two proteins crucial for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness. You will see results within 1 treatment but a series of 4-6 is recommended for best results at a minimum of 1 month apart.

Massage FAQ

Benefits of Massage

Experts estimate that upwards of ninety percent of disease is stress-related. And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress. Massage is an effective tool for managing this stress. Massage and bodywork can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Massage and bodywork are also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being.

Where will my massage or bodywork session take place?

Your massage session will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. Soft music may be played to help you relax. You will lie on a table especially designed for your comfort.

Must I be completely undressed?

Most massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; however, it is entirely up to you what you want to wear. You should undress to your level of comfort. You will be properly and conservatively draped during the entire session.

What parts of my body will be massaged?

A typical full-body session will include work on your back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck, and shoulders. Your session will be specifically tailored to you and your body's needs.

What should I do during the massage or bodywork session?

Before the massage, feel free to ask me any questions about the technique or the upcoming session. During the massage, make yourself comfortable. I will either gently move you or tell you what is needed throughout the session (such as lifting your arm). Many people just close their eyes and completely relax, communicating if/when they need more or less pressure, another blanket, or anything else relevant to the session. If you have any questions regarding the session or about the particular technique you are receiving, feel free to ask.

How will I feel after the massage or bodywork session?

Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days.

Are there any medical conditions that would make massage or bodywork inadvisable?

Yes. That's why it's imperative that, before you begin your session, I ask general health questions. It is very important that you inform me of any health problems or medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor's care, it is strongly advised that you receive a written recommendation for massage or bodywork before any session. Depending on the condition, approval from your doctor may be required.
